-: Mix 1 teaspoon of cream tartar, 1 cup of borax or baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a paste,
-: Apply the past on the stained spot and let it sit for 30 minutes
-: Use damp sponge or cloth to wipe the paste, repeat the process if rust still remains.

White Vinegars contains natural acids and can be an effective rust remover

-: Put the vinegar in spray bottles and pray it directly onto the rust stains
-: Scrub and spray again, and let it sit for 30 minutes.
-: Repeating this will make the rust stains come off, make sure to wipe it afterward

Another Alternative if you don’t have the items I mentioned earlier is using Lemon Juice and Borax.

-: Mix the two ingredients to form a thick paste
-: Apply it and let it stand there for 20 – 30 minutes
-: Scrub it with steel wool or any coarse material, this process may take more application before it works but this application is safer for your pets and children

Another way of treating Rust (works on cements) is using TSP or tri sodium phosphate.

-: Mix ½ cup of TSP with ½ gallon of warm water
-: Pour it on the affected area, let it there for 15-20 minutes
-: Afterward Scrub it with a stiff bristle brush, repeat the application if necessary

A bit dangerous method of removing rust is using Muriatic acid, ensure to wear rubber gloves and goggles to prevent skin damages from accidental splashes.

-: Mix 1 part of muriatic acid with 4 parts of water.
-: Let the acid eat the surface of the cement
-: Brush and rinse thoroughly, make sure that you will leave no remains of the chemical that you have used,
